Our Warranty…and optional protection plans.
We are pleased to offer optional protection plans for our new and pre-owned instruments. All used instruments are sold with a 6 month general warranty at no cost. An additional 12 month protection can be purchased to keep your new to you instrument playing great! Contact us for more details and pricing.
Our general warranty for new and pre-owned instruments covers all mechanical parts of your instrument. Binding or sticking keys, adjustment of set screws, all springs and screws, mainting the function of cork parts and pads are all covered. Wooden instrument bodies that have existing repaired cracks that leak or open up are covered. New cracks on pre-owned instruments are not covered under this warranty. This warranty includes repair of cracking for the first 6 months of ownership for new wooden instruments. Damage due to misuse or accident are not covered. Bent keys, broken tenons, new cracking, damage to case or case cover is not covered. Repairs not covered by this warranty are billed at our normal shop rates. All other custom services are not covered by this warranty and subject to normal shop rates. Shipping costs are the responsibility of owner.
Plastic Body Instruments

This optional protection can only be purchased at time of sale. This optional protection is in combination with the above 6 month warranty thus extending it to 18 months. Cracks to the plastic body are not covered by this warranty. Bent keys, broken tenons, damage to the case or case cover is not covered. Repairs not covered by this warranty are billed at our normal shop rates. All other custom services are not covered by this warranty and subject to normal shop rates. Shipping costs are the responsibility of owner. Warranty services are only offered by Reedhouse.
Wooden Body Instruments

This optional protection can only be purchased at time of sale. This warranty is in combination with the above 6 month warranty thus extending it to 18 months. This warranty covers all aspects listed above. This warranty includes existing cracks and cracks that develop in the first 36 months of ownership of the instrument. Use of the instrument outdoors or under adverse conditions will void this warranty. Damage due to misuse or accident are not covered. Bent keys, broken tenons, damage to the case or case cover is not covered by this warranty. Repairs not covered by this warranty are billed at our normal shop rates. All other custom services are not covered by this warranty and subject to normal shop rates. Shipping costs are the responsibility of owner. Warranty services are only provided by Reedhouse.

This oboe looks and plays like new because we just overhauled it! All the pads and corks are brand new and of course it seals bottle tight. The keys went through our tarnish removal process with polishing and look fantastic. The oboe was unused for at least several years before it came to our shop. The initial inspection was difficult as it barely played from deteriorating pads and a shrunken bore. Although the silver had no pitting it was covered in dark tarnish. The overhaul process brought this diamond in the rough back to life!
The Royale model is know for its big, dark, orchestral sound and this oboe does not disappoint! Save thousands of your dollars over the cost of a new Royale! Purchase our 3 year crack protection plan and you will be set up for years to come.

The is oboe was owned and loved by an adult enthusiast since it was new. It was regularly serviced and maintained. A small crack in the trills was pinned by us about 10 years ago and has been drama free.
The Fox 800 model is a very underrated oboe in our opinion. They play and sound wonderful!

All Grenadilla wood body, silver-plated mechanisms. From 2016, this oboe was owned by a retired professional musician. It has a fanasticly dark tone. No 3rd octave key, but surprisingly those notes pop out easily!

Wowsa! This is an exceptional instrument and we don’t say that lightly. It has a gorgeous tone and really takes the air to make that tone big and full!
It was owned by an adult enthusiast and barely played. It looks and plays like a new instrument! We have recently finished a complete overhaul which included our tarnish removal process and polish and all the corks and pads replaced. No pitting or peeling of the silver. You are basically buying a new horn without the new horn cost. Don’t forget to purchase our 3 year crack warranty and enjoy your life!
